Congratulations to Adelynn, Sophie, and Micaela for recently earning their black sashes! This does not represent the end of their journey, but their years of commitment, discipline, hard work, and dedication to the principles of Wushu. We are all very proud of their accomplishments, and look forward to their hard-earned future achievements.

2014 Thanksgiving Festival
It’s that time of year again for the annual Luohan Wushu Kungfu Thanksgiving Celebration! This year it is scheduled for Saturday, November, 15th, 2014, 3-6 PM. It will be located at the old jewerly store in the Fontana Shopping Center (see map at right).
Students and demonstrators should arrive at 2:40 PM, parents and friends by 3 PM.
This event is a potluck, so bring your favorite covered dish. Also, seating limited, so please bring chairs if you have them.
This is a time for our Wushu family to enjoy each other’s company and be thankful for another great year. We will have demonstrations from many students showcasing several various styles of martial arts learned at the school. We will also have our instructor Wade Blevins share his experience of recently competing on a world stage, earning both gold and bronze medals in China. We’d also like to ask that all parents and friends who are not demonstrating remain in the audience until the demonstration is complete, as it will be very crowded and we need to keep the demonstration organized.
There will be a table where you may drop off your covered dish. We hope that everyone enjoys this time to visit, eat, and grow closer with each other in our Wushu family. Please let Luo Sifu know how many people will be coming so we may plan for the space.
Wade Brings Home The Gold!
After making the US National Traditional Wushu team earlier this year, assistant instructor Wade Blevins traveled to Chizhou in Anhui, China at the end of October to compete in the 6th biennial World Traditional Wushu Championship. Wade won both a gold medal in his open hand form division, and a bronze medal for his three-section staff division.
As quoted in Indian Country Today, Wade said, “All the years of hard work and training in the gym, all the sacrifices I’ve made and eating better have paid off. I feel like I won this gold for my martial arts school, my family, my community and my tribe.”
Jaiyou, Wade!
